Meet the Chef | Janib Moralles

Hey beautiful people! My name is Janib, pronounced ja-neeb. I am a Florida native and passionate about all things health and wellness. I began my fitness journey in 2022 which soon led to my interests peaking in 2023 when I met my first trainer. I went from viewing fitness as an aesthetic matter to really valuing the impact it has on a cellular level and on our overall health and wellbeing. I’ve been to the doctors, I’ve been prescribed the medications, I’ve done the crash diets. I have learned that truly getting to the root cause of anything is crucial to our healing and development.

My slogan, “Cultivating Mind, Body, Soul connections through Root Cause Healing, Mindful Nutrition and Wholesome Movement.” truly conveys the purpose of my brand. We are alchemists. We can transmute stagnancy into movement. We can integrate new ways of being as long as we edify our minds into healthy self-belief.

My family is from the beautiful islands of Trinidad & Tobago. I grew up in a culturally abundant dynamic, especially when it comes to cuisine. I admired seeing my mother’s passion for cooking - whether it was a basic necessity or not - I am innately grateful to God for the privilege of seeing my mother devote her time to not only being our care taker, but being an amazing chef.

I vividly remember holding my family up from leaving the house because I was so focused on chopping garlic correctly. Creating messes in the kitchen from attempting to bake. The first time I successfully cracked an egg on the counter in front of my father and him being so impressed. My father spent a lot of time researching different natural methods and holistic remedies. It’s not on me, it’s in me. My parents laid the foundation for us and now its my turn to continue the legacy.

In my free time, I enjoy sharing quality time with my family and friends, hosting gatherings centered by delicious food, long walks on the beach (haha), investing into yoga classes and local events. On the weekends, you may also find me in the heart of local farmer’s markets where my soul lies. Fitness is also a very important part of my routine. I intentionally devote my time to these things. It is important that the lifestyle I lead is what translates into my work and art. I do so you can see that it is all possible.

Xo,

Chef Nib
